According to sources close to the Couple, One of Jamaica’a most eligible bachelors, the Founder and Chairman Of the Pulse empire, Kingsley Cooper, and his longtime companion and mother of their son, Romae Gordon, are all getting set to walk down the wedding aisle, in the summer.
Sources say the wedding date is a closely guarded secret, as is the actual wedding venue, but since the whispers started growing around the two about impending nuptials, offers have been pouring in from friends from across the island, and from around the globe, offering their properties as venues to the well-liked and admired couple.
No word yet on a settled venue, but offers have poured in from Portland, Ocho Rios, Discovery Bay, Montego Bay, and Negril, on the national front, from friends and business associates, who are offering to host what is expected to be a private and intimate affair, restricted to a shortlist of handpicked Family and friends, for the summer affair.
Meanwhile, offers have come in from Belize, Barbados, Florida, and as far away as the UK, from others who have offered their private homes, Villas, and or Resorts, as the venue. But according to one source close to the goings on, Villa Ronai, in Stony Hill is one of the best wedding venues in Kingston, if not the wider Caribbean, and whilst the couple are appreciative of the offers, as a sign of goodwill and friendship, Villa Ronai, would be their first pick for a venue, and with their new on property residential development coming on stream, it might be the perfect combination for the busy couple, to have the wedding ceremony at villa Ronai, followed with a few nights Honeymoon, before taking off for an extended honeymoon, on the North Coast somewhere.
And word is, the expected nuptials is probably one of the most secretive wedding ever to be planned and executed in Jamaica,. With everything, being under tight wrap – from the What designer the Bride will be wearing; who is the wedding planner; Caterers, and entertainment and or entertainers, and most importantly, the question of who will be invited to attend.
Some speculate that it being a celebrity wedding,, one should expect a lot gratuitous celebrities in attendance, especially the Pulse International Modelling Super Stars; some leading politicos, fashionistas and some movers and shakers. Another source cautioned that apart from the Bride, Groom, their Son, his daughter from a previous liaison; the Bride’s Mother and Sister, the Officiating Pastor, and the Groom’s choice for a best man, all bets are off. As this is not a Wedding being hosted as a PR stunt, but will serve as a public endorsement of their commitment to each other and a celebration of their long-standing love.
