And let the Records Show that in the year 2023, Jamaica celebrated its Sixty-First Anniversary as an Independent Nation, and let the Records also reflect that Sixty-One (61), was a very good year for Jamaica.

As it was in Jamaica, where the Government Hosted a Fabulous Sixty-First Anniversary Gala, at the Country’s National Stadium, in the Nation’s Capital, So was it in Major Capitals across the globe as Jamaicans celebrated the Island’s 61st Independence anniversary with the gusto, pride and panache, that is the signature style, of its people.

But, of the several commemorative celebrations hosted across the globe, to mark the Island’s 61st Independence Anniversary, the event that has people raving was the Independence Gala, hosted by Jamaica’s Consul General to New York,  Mrs. Alsion Wilson, at the New York Hilton Hotel, that honoured seven-Outstanding Jamaicans In the diaspora, for their individual achievement and contribution to Jamaica. And with Multi-award Award Winning Film Star Sheryl Lee-Ralph; Multi-award winning DJ Shaggy, and the Fab Dr. Rosie Ingleton, being among the awardees, y’all know we are talking High-glam and loads of glitz, here.

And With PM Andrew Holness, Foreign Minister Senator Kamina Johnson-Smith; US Ambassador to Jamaica, Nick Perry, among those who jetted in from Jamaica, for the event, lets just say, it was a 10 on the social Richter scale and counting…As also out were Jamaica’s Ambassador to Cuba, His Excellency the dapper Franz Hall; Make-up Artists to the Stars and NBC In-house Make-up Artist, Jamaican born New York resident, Grantley McIntyre; plus several other celebs and celbutants!
