Heard that one of the ‘retirees’ cried like a baby, for days, when he was told he would be losing his palace in the Cabinet. Heard it was so bad, that many asked that the PM reconsider his decision to send him home, coming as it did, on the heels of what proved to be his last Budget Presentation, which many thought, went well…Alas, the die was cast..
But for some, the real story is: not many in the JLP are happy with the handling of the recent pay hike, For the Prime Minister; Cabinet Ministers, Parliamentarians, and Councilors, as they consider it clumsy and Chaka-Chaka. Many are offended that some who they consider functionally illiterates, will be so heavily compensated. Some think it’s a complete betrayal of the Trust of the People and should be adjusted to reflect the hardships being felt by the majority. And with news that the Prime Minister, who voted himself such a hefty salary hike, has been spending more and more time away from his Prime Ministerial Duties, as he travels overseas supposedly on a bi-monthly timetable, in pursuit of a PhD. Some are up in arms, asking if he took leave, of his Governmental Duties, to pursue his studies, or if he just absented himself, from those duties. And whatever the answer, how did he justify such a pay increase, in the first instance?
For many, this issue is now a sore one as they say it’s the heights of cheekiness for the PM to vote himself such a Pay increase, at a time he is spending more and more time away from his Official duties as PM; Minister of Growth and Job Creation; And the several other portfolios, he supposedly has Ministerial oversight for…This one is not going down well at all, and it led to one senior Labour Party official quipping “Craven choke puppy dawg enuh…Watch di ride”…
Two, beautiful young women, strolling along the beach in Ocho Rios, on the weekend. They walked by a bunch of what sounded like Jamaican men, who went overboard with their cat-calls and wolf-whistles. Their Carring-ons were nothing short of harassment.
Well, it ended instantly, when one of the young ladies turned to the drooling men and said: We don’t appreciate you all behaving like that, at all, My wife and I would like to continue enjoying the beach without you harassing us…

Heard that the Baby-Momma, who was exiled to Miami, wants to come back home as she is not happy, and is getting quite uppity, as friends say, she keeps hearing about the Sidechick in the Parliament and she is not happy as she fears being displaced. Her friends said she accepts the wife as when she signed up for duties, the wife was already in place. And it was to save the wife’s face and help to provide an air of respectability, for the campaign, that she accepted being exiled to Miami. She’s not prepared to continue living in Miami, however, if Such-man, goes around sowing more wild oats…But some are advising her to hold on, as they say, at least one of the side chicks has declared, she will not be seeking reelection…
Then the big event on the North Coast went very well, But its staging left more than a few feathers ruffled, as it seems their invites never came…
Then some say the husband is so bitter and jealous of the wife’s promotion, he has been going around telling any, and all who will listen, that the wife has left him for another woman and is now a full card-carrying member of the LGBTQ, etc., community as a Lesbian…
Then word is some in the know, are predicting some kind of intervention from overseas, due to ongoing international investigations into local politicos and ‘business characters’ that they say have aroused the suspicion and interest of Overseas Law-enforcement agencies, that have been tracking several high-ranking and serving politicians; plus some in the Private Sector.. They say it promises to be a big deal, as it’s not just the ‘usual suspects’ that will be rounded up, up but a wider network, including family members and others who act as facilitators.
The term being bandied about is International Dragnet…
And many are bothered that the disbarred murder suspect, maybe losing all his cognitive marbles, as evidenced by his sycophantic daily posts on social media, in support of a political leader and party, even its own supporters concede is discredited.
Some say its a cry in the wilderness, in the hope of attracting some attention, to get an opportunity to feed at the trough., as his fall from grace has been so deafening, that even the politicos in his own party heard it and consequently have been avoiding him, and his entreaties, out of fear of being seen as cozying up to one such as he…once considered a mover and shaker, but now regarded as a pariah…
Then y’all remember the Minister’s son, that was out Partying At Maiden Key, when the Country was under lockdown, Well, the story is that he took his bad-behaving ways to his private school overseas – carousing, flouting curfew and all, so the School’s administration simply expelled him, because they did not want him and his friend, corrupting the other people them good-good pickney…[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
